Privacy policy
Short version: Launch Window has no accounts and no database. Location is optional and never stored; launch data is fetched through our edge worker where possible — see “Data we fetch for you” below. The one third party that sees anything is Google, because the site carries ads.

What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletters and no contact forms. We do not set our own cookies.
Measurement. We run no analytics script of our own. The site has no first-party tracking beacon and no Google Analytics tag: interactions like choosing a filter or opening a launch stay entirely inside your browser and are never transmitted to us. Cloudflare, which serves the site, may provide us with aggregate, cookieless page-view counts as part of its hosting; those counts carry no cross-site identifier and cannot be tied back to you. If we ever add an analytics tag, this paragraph changes first.
Local storage
The tool keeps your choices in your browser's local storage so the page remembers them on your next visit. That data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Location
If you use the "near me" feature, your browser asks your permission and gives your coordinates to the page running on your device — not to us. The distance and bearing to each launch pad are calculated there, in your browser. Those coordinates are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never shared: no request this site makes carries them. Declining the prompt leaves the rest of the site fully usable, and there is always a manual city picker that needs no location permission at all.
Separately, and as with any website you visit, the ordinary requests your browser makes — to us, to Cloudflare, and on the fallback described below to The Space Devs — include your IP address. That is a different thing from the coordinates above, and we do not combine them.
Data we fetch for you
Live figures come from The Space Devs launch library. Normally your browser asks our edge worker and the worker asks the upstream source, so the upstream sees our address rather than yours. That is not a guarantee: the upstream limits free traffic per address, and when our worker is rate-limited or unreachable the page falls back to asking The Space Devs directly from your browser. On that fallback they do see your IP address, as any site you visit does. We are not told when it happens and we receive nothing extra either way.
Advertising
This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set or read cookies on your device, and may use the address of the page you are on, to serve and measure ads. We do not control what Google collects and we never see it.

tagged rel="sponsored nofollow". If a programme is active and you book or buy
through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never
affect which launches we show, how we describe them, or the order they appear in — the
schedule comes from the upstream feed and nothing commercial touches it. Following one of
those links takes you to the third party, whose own privacy policy then applies.

We are the controller for this site. We hold no account, profile or contact record for you, so there is nothing of yours in our possession to export or erase; the rights sections below and the vendor links above are the routes to anything these three hold.
Hosting and logs
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived operational logs (including IP addresses) to deliver traffic and block abuse. That is Cloudflare's processing, under their privacy policy; we do not query those logs to build any profile.
Your rights, and children
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is no personal record here for us to show you, correct, or delete. For anything Google holds about your advertising profile, use the Google links above. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
